How is Butter different to Humanitix or Eventbrite?
Ticketing sites sell the ticket and that's where it ends. On Butter, every plan comes with a group chat, your club keeps people together between plans, you can choose who comes, and people nearby can find you in the app. Free plans don't cost a thing to run.

Can I bring my existing community over?
Yes, and we'll help you do it. We can email your existing list an invite to join your club on Butter, and help you set up an Instagram automation that sends your Butter link to anyone who comments on your post. Chat to us and we'll get you moved over.

How long does set up take?
Setting up your club only takes a few minutes. We review every new club by hand, which can take up to 2 business days, then you're good to post your first plan.

Can I export my data + insights?
Yes. You can export your member list any time from your club (tap the three dots, then Manage members, then Export member data). Turn on marketing opt-in in your club settings to collect emails, and anyone who buys a ticket shares theirs automatically. In-app insights are coming soon, and in the meantime we're happy to pull your numbers for you.

What fees do you charge?
Free plans don't cost a thing. On ticketed plans, our fee is 8.6% + 30c per ticket, and that covers payment processing too. You choose whether you absorb it or pass it on to your guests at checkout.

Do people need the app to join my plans?
For ticketed plans, guests can buy straight from your link on the web. To RSVP to a free plan, they'll need the Butter app, which is free and takes about a minute to set up.
